I started my flower journey on a traditional 2 week career course here in London and founded Palais from my flat whilst working as a freelance set designer. Its been an amazing journey and I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge with you. I truly believe floristry can be a viable and fulfilling career whatever your background.
In the next couple of year's I'll be focussing on group classes and 1:1s in practical floristry in the UK and elsewhere. I'll also be offering consultation chats for anyone starting out in the floral art world and looking for advice on how to get going/demystifying the business of floristry.
Advice sessions can be booked by the hour for a minimum of 2hrs. Just click through to the shop to purchase.
Practical floristry tuition can be from beginner to masterclass level. All classes will be taught by me, giving you an insight into the Palais process.
Teaching is completely bespoke to your needs, we can focus on perfecting a skill you already have, or try something completely new. It’s up to you!
At Palais we look at floristry with our heads tipped to one side, playing with expectations of traditional design. This underpins all of our classes, I’ll teach you the usual rules and mechanics and then how to do things a little differently.
Whatever you choose to learn, together we‘ll explore colour, form and materiality.
Many design decisions are based on the creative use of colour. All classes will discuss the theory and experience of colour for your chosen subject. You’ll leave with a greater sensitivity to materials and an understanding of how to innovate with flowers.Fees... Our London 1:1 floristry classes are £800 per day including all materials and a delicious lunch. (1:1 classes in other countries may differ depending on local costs of the materials.)
Group classes also available.
You can book a class or buy a gift card in the shop.
